What is the role of a Superintending Engineer at IISER Mohali?

The Superintending Engineer serves as the head of the Institute Works Department (IWD). Key responsibilities include inspecting major works, ensuring compliance with specifications, preparing budgets for Works and Services, monitoring expenditure, and ensuring economical execution of works within sanctioned limits. You will also exercise financial powers, scrutinize estimates and tenders, and coordinate with local authorities for project approvals.

What are the Educational Qualifications required?

Candidates must possess a B.E. / B. Tech. in Civil Engineering with first class or its equivalent Grade with a good academic record from a recognized University/Institute.

What is the required experience?

Applicants must have at least 5 years of regular service as a Senior Executive Engineer in Pay Level-12 or equivalent, OR 10 years of regular service as an Executive Engineer in Pay Level-11 or equivalent. This experience must be in Central Govt. / State Govt. / Semi-Govt. / PSU / Statutory or Autonomous organization / Govt. University / Institution of national importance / reputed organizations dealing with the construction of building projects as per CPWD norms.
