What are the essential qualifications for an Assistant Professor?

To be eligible for the Assistant Professor position, candidates must possess a Degree in Ayurveda recognized under Schedule II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020. Additionally, they need an MD/MS (Ayu.) recognized by CCIM under Schedule-II of IMCC Act, 1970/NCISM Act, 2020/ITRA Act, 2020 in the concerned subject, and a PhD in the concerned subject. A registration with the concerned State Board/Council or Central registration issued by CCIM/NCISM is also mandatory.

What is the required experience for an Assistant Professor?

The essential experience for an Assistant Professor is three years of regular/full-time teaching in the concerned subject and/or research experience from a recognized teaching/research Institute after obtaining a PG degree from a recognized University/Institute.

Are there any publication requirements for Assistant Professor?

Yes, candidates must have a minimum of three high-quality research papers indexed in SCOPUS or Pubmed or journals with an impact factor (as per journal citation report). This excludes papers from their own PG and PhD work.

What is the pay scale and maximum age for an Assistant Professor?

The Pay Scale for Assistant Professor is Academic Level-10, with a pay scale of 57,700-1,82,400 plus NPA as admissible per Central Govt. Rules. The maximum age limit is not exceeding 40 years.
