What is the job role of a Security & Maintenance Officer?

The Security & Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing security, conservancy, firefighting, and gardening at the museum/centre. This includes planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating fire and emergency management (EMS) operations. The role also involves reviewing departmental performance, inspecting buildings for fire hazards, and enforcing safety measures. The officer must respond to alarms, administer emergency care or services, ensure proper deployment and alertness of security personnel, and monitor visitor movement. Additionally, they monitor the performance of upkeeping/monitoring agencies, conduct checks and mock drills for security and fire-fighting alertness, and ensure timely maintenance of fire extinguishers and alarm systems.
