What are the essential educational qualifications?

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or Sports Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade, along with at least three years of relevant full-time work experience after obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree.

Is there any desirable qualification?

Yes, candidates with a Diploma in coaching from NIS or an equivalent institute, or a Master’s degree in Physical Education/Sports Science are preferred. Candidates should also qualify in the physical fitness test as per UGC regulations. Specialization in at least one sport (Weightlifting, Tennis, Squash, Volleyball, Hockey, Swimming, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, Badminton) and being a medal winner in inter-university/national games is considered an advantage.

What is the work experience requirement?

Applicants must have at least three years of relevant full-time work experience after their Bachelor's degree, and at least one year of work experience in Government/Autonomous Bodies, Universities, or Colleges.
