About IIIT Raichur Faculty Recruitment

The Indian Institute of Information Technology Raichur (IIIT Raichur) is recruiting for Faculty positions. This recruitment is for Assistant Professor Grade-I and Grade-II roles. The institute was established by the Government of India in the PPP model in 2019 and has begun functioning in Raichur. The permanent campus is nearing completion.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 10)

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree. There is no mandatory relevant experience required for this position.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Professor Grade II (Level 11)

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree. Additionally, 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience from reputed academic institutes, R&D labs, or industry is required. Alternatively, a Ph.D. at Level 10 with an equivalent qualification is also accepted.

Educational Qualification for Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12)

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree. Required experience includes 3 years of post-Ph.D. experience at Level 11/10 or equivalent from reputed academic institutes, research and development labs, or relevant industry. Alternatively, 6 years of experience after M.Tech (Ph.D. period excluded) is also acceptable.

Other Essential Requirements for Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12)

Candidates must have published 02 papers in SCI journals outside of their Ph.D. work. If candidates are from academia, one ongoing sponsored project is required. Additionally, two experiments or computational projects added to teaching laboratories where appropriate are also considered.

Additional Desirable Requirements for Assistant Professor Grade I (Level 12)

Desirable qualifications include one ongoing Ph.D. supervision, one patent, experience in industry or in a reputed R&D laboratory, and supervision of M.Tech., M.Sc. or B.Tech. projects on live industrial problems.

Interested candidates can apply online through the Institute's website at https://iiitr.ac.in/careers. The application deadline is 20th April 2026, 11:59 PM. A printout of the online application form is not required to be submitted. Offline applications will be rejected.

Application Fee

The application fee is non-refundable. For UR/OBC/EWS candidates, the fee is Rs. 2000/-. For SC/ST/Female Candidates, the fee is Rs. 1000/-. PwBD Candidates are exempted from the fee. Payment is to be made through SBI Collect.

General Instructions

Candidates working in Government Organizations/autonomous institutions should submit a "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of the interview if shortlisted. Submission of an application does not guarantee an interview call. The institute reserves the right to limit the number of candidates called for interviews and to fill or not fill any of the positions.

Age Limit

Candidates should preferably be below 35 years of age for the post of Assistant Professor.

Reservation Policy

Reservation as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS is applicable. Necessary certificates must be enclosed with the application form. GOI policy on the reservation of faculty positions also includes persons with physical disabilities.

Interview Travel Allowance

Candidates invited for an interview will be provided with AC II-tier train fare from their residence, by the shortest route, if interviews are conducted offline.
