What are the age limit requirements?

The age limit for candidates is 20-25 Years as on 01 July 2027. Candidates born between 01 July 2002 to 01 July 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. Candidates must produce their Birth Certificate/10th class marksheet during the preliminary document check at the time of the Recruitment Rally.

What are the educational qualifications for Havildar (IT/Cyber)?

Candidates must possess a Graduation or Post Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent in the following categories:

  • Priority-I: BSc/MSc (Information Security)/ BSc/MSc (Information Technology)/ BSc/MSc (Cyber Security)/ BSc/MSc (Cyber Forensics)/ BSc/MSc (Cryptology)/ BSc/MSc/B Tech (Computer Science)/ BCA/MCA (Computer Application)/ BSc (IT/Cyber) (Data Analytics)/ BSc (Data Science)/ BSc/MSc (AI & ML) or equivalent.
  • Priority-II: BA/MA/ BSc/MSc (Mathematics)/ BSc/MSc (Physics/ Chemistry)/ BE & B Tech (Electronics).

Bonus Marks: Candidates possessing education qualification under PRIORITY-I for Havildar (IT/Cyber) will be awarded a bonus of 30 marks in the final merit.

What are the physical standards?

The minimum physical standards are as follows:

  • Physical Standard Test: Specific height, weight, and chest measurements are required based on region. For example, for Western Himalayan region, the height requirement is 162 Cms, minimum weight is 48 Kg, maximum weight is 60.4 Kg, and chest is 77 Cms.
  • Medical Standards: Candidates must have a robust physique and mental health, with a well-developed chest (minimum 5 cm expansion), normal hearing in both ears, and at least 14 dental points with healthy gums. Candidates should not have diseases like deformity of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins, or piles.

What is the selection procedure?

The selection process includes:

  • Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
  • Recruitment Rally (Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Examination).
  • Aptitude Skill Test & Personal Interview.
  • Final Merit List.

What is the exam pattern?

The online examination consists of two papers:

  • Paper-I (General Awareness, General English, Mathematical Aptitude, Reasoning): 50 Marks, 50 Questions, 1 Hour duration.
  • Paper-II (Specific subjects for respective trade): 100 Marks, 100 Questions, 2 Hour duration.

A minimum of 40% marks in each paper is mandatory for passing. Successful candidates will be shortlisted for the Recruitment Rally based on merit.

The examination fee is Rs 250/-. This fee is to be paid by the candidate through a payment gateway directly to the online application.

Are there any specific instructions regarding tattoos?

Permanent body tattoos are permitted only for candidates belonging to tribal communities/tribal areas as per existing customs and traditions. Specific certificates are required for this, and tattoos are only allowed on certain parts of the body (inner face of forearms, back of hand). Tattoos of religious sentiment are permitted on the inner face of forearms and on the reverse side of the palm/back of the hand.
