What is the recruitment for?

The Indian Army is inviting online applications for the recruitment of Havildar (Education) in the category of Linguist (Arabic) for the year 2027.

What are the eligibility criteria for age?

Candidates must be between 20-25 years of age as on 01 July 2027. This means candidates born between 01 July 2002 and 01 July 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

What are the educational qualifications required?

Candidates must possess a Graduation or Post Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent. Specifically for the Linguist (Arabic) post, the qualifications are:

Candidates possessing the Priority-I qualification will be awarded a bonus of 30 marks in the final merit.

What is the selection process?

2. Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE).
3. Recruitment Rally which includes Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Medical Examination.
4. Aptitude Skill Test & Personal Interview.
5. Final Merit List and Call up for Training.

What are the physical standards?

The minimum physical standards are as follows:

• Height: 162 Cms (for Western Plains, Eastern Plains, Central Plains, Southern Plains)
• Chest: 77 Cms (with 5 cm expansion)
• Weight: Varies by region, e.g., 50 Kg for Plains regions.

What is the medical standard?

Candidates must have robust physique and mental health. They should have normal hearing, sufficient natural teeth (14 dental points), and healthy gums. Candidates should not have deformities of bones, hydrocele, varicose veins, or piles.

Online registration is to be done through the Join Indian Army Portal (www.joinindianarmy.nic.in). Candidates need to log in, create a profile, and fill in the application form. A passport size photograph and signature are required for upload.

What is the application fee?

The examination fee is Rs 250/-. Payment can be made through various gateways like Maestro, Master Card, VISA, Rupay, Internet Banking, or UPI.
