What are the educational qualifications?

Candidates must have a Graduation or Post Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent. The specific qualifications are:

  • Priority-I: BA/MA in Chinese Language. BA/MA in English with a Diploma in Chinese Language.
  • Priority-II: BA/MA (English Literature) / BA/MA (Political Science)/ BA/MA (History)/ BA/MA/BSc/MSc (Mathematics)/ BSc/MSc (Physics)/ BSc/MSc (Chemistry)/ BE/ B Tech (Electronics).

Bonus Marks: Candidates possessing the educational qualification under PRIORITY-I for Havildar (Linguist) Chinese will be awarded a bonus of 30 marks in the final merit.

The Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) will consist of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). There will be two papers:

  • Paper-I: General Awareness, General English, Mathematical Aptitude, Reasoning (Max Marks: 50, Questions: 50, Time: 1 Hour).
  • Paper-II: Specific subjects for the respective trade (Max Marks: 100, Questions: 100, Time: 2 Hours).

A minimum of 40% marks in Paper-I and Paper-II is mandatory for passing.
