What is the recruitment for?

This recruitment is for the post of Havildar (Education) in the Indian Army, specifically for the Linguist (Chinese) category for the year 2027.

What are the eligibility criteria?

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 20-25 years as on 01 July 2027. This means candidates born between 01 July 2002 and 01 July 2007 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Note: Candidates must produce their Birth Certificate or 10th class marksheet during the preliminary document check at the Recruitment Rally.

What are the educational qualifications?

Candidates must have a Graduation or Post Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University or equivalent. The specific qualifications are:

• Priority-I: BA/MA in Chinese Language. BA/MA in English with a Diploma in Chinese Language.
• Priority-II: BA/MA (English Literature) / BA/MA (Political Science)/ BA/MA (History)/ BA/MA/BSc/MSc (Mathematics)/ BSc/MSc (Physics)/ BSc/MSc (Chemistry)/ BE/ B Tech (Electronics).

Bonus Marks: Candidates possessing the educational qualification under PRIORITY-I for Havildar (Linguist) Chinese will be awarded a bonus of 30 marks in the final merit.

The selection process involves multiple stages:

What are the physical and medical standards?

Candidates must meet the minimum physical standards as laid down by the Indian Army. This includes physical fitness tests (PFT) and medical examinations. Specific details regarding height, weight, chest measurements, and medical fitness will be provided during the recruitment process.

What is the examination pattern?

The Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE) will consist of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). There will be two papers:

• Paper-I: General Awareness, General English, Mathematical Aptitude, Reasoning (Max Marks: 50, Questions: 50, Time: 1 Hour).
• Paper-II: Specific subjects for the respective trade (Max Marks: 100, Questions: 100, Time: 2 Hours).

A minimum of 40% marks in Paper-I and Paper-II is mandatory for passing.

What documents are required?

Candidates will need to produce various documents during different stages of the recruitment process, including educational certificates, caste certificate, domicile certificate, character certificate, photographs, and admit cards.

What is the pay scale?

The post is for Havildar (Education), which falls under the Pay Matrix Level.

Where is the job location?

The initial training will be at AEC Training College and Centre, Pachmarhi (MP). Subsequent postings will be as per the requirements of the Indian Army.
