- 12th in science + Diploma in MLT/DMLT/Engineering or equivalent + Five Years experience in relevant subject/field OR
- Three Years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field + two years' experience in relevant subject
- For Project Technician I:
- 10th + Diploma (MLT)/ DMLT/ITI or equivalent) +2 years' experience in relevant subject/field OR
- Three years Graduate degree in relevant subject/field + one years' experience in relevant subject
- Desirable for Project Technician I: Must be having valid driving license and two-wheeler in his name.
Note on Life Sciences: Microbiology, Biotechnology, Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology and other relevant subjects as per scope of project.

- Project Technical Support II: 20,000 + HRA, as admissible as per ICMR Guidelines
- Project Technician I: 18,000 + HRA, as admissible as per ICMR Guidelines

What are the general terms and conditions?
- These positions are meant for temporary projects or coterminous with the project.
- Engagement depends on availability of funds, functional requirements and approval of the competent authority.
- The rates of emoluments/stipend may vary according to the sanction of the funding agency.
- Separate application should be submitted for each position.
- Qualification and experience should be in a relevant field from a reputed institute/hospital/NABLaccredited lab. Experience should be gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any government organization/department are not eligible to apply.
- No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. Candidates have to arrange transport/accommodation themselves.
- ICMR and AIIMS, Gorakhpur reserve the right to consider or reject any application/candidature.
- Submission of wrong or false information shall disqualify the candidature.
- Persons engaged cannot be permitted to register for Ph.D. due to time constraints.
- Engagement is for a period of one year or less, depending upon the project tenure and functional requirements. Continuation/extension is subject to performance, project tenure, funds, and approval. The maximum term is three & half years.
- AIIMS, Gorakhpur reserves the right to terminate positions even during the contract period without assigning any reason.
- Leaves shall be as per ICMR's policy for project human resource positions.
