Teaching and Research Experience Requirements:

• Professor (8 years PG experience): Must have 4 research publications (at least 2 as Associate Professor). Must have completed basic courses in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research designated by NMC.
• Associate Professor (5 years PG experience): Must have 2 research publications. Must have completed basic courses in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research designated by NMC.
• Assistant Professor (Teaching/Research Experience): Essential: One year as Senior Resident after MD/MS. Desirable: Three years as Senior Resident/Tutor/Demonstrator/Registrar/Assistant Professor/Lecturer after MD/MS Degree.

Note on DNB Equivalence: DNB (Broad Specialties and Super Specialty) granted in an institution with an attached hospital or a hospital with 500+ beds is equivalent to MD/MS and DM/MCh, respectively.
