What is the IISER Kolkata Assistant Registrar Recruitment 2026?

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata has released an official notification for the recruitment of the Assistant Registrar position on a direct recruitment basis. This is a prestigious Group 'A' government job opportunity for eligible candidates.

What are the educational qualification requirements?

Candidates must possess the following qualifications to be eligible:

  • Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in Pay Level-7 or above OR 7 years of experience at Pay Level-6 or above as Superintendent / Section Officer / Private Secretary or equivalent in handling Administrative/ Finance & Accounting / Academic / Legal / Statutory / Audit / Stores & Purchase / Establishment matters in Central/State Government, Govt. Universities, or Higher Educational Institutes.

What is the application fee?

The application fee structure is as follows:

  • General/OBC: ₹1,000/- (₹950 application fee + ₹50 registration fee).
  • SC/ST/PWD/Women/Ex-servicemen: ₹50/- (Only registration fee is applicable).
