About the Project Assistant-II Position

This is a purely temporary R&D project staff position for the "Riparian Ecosystem Assessment of Mahan River and Bhongar Nala around Jagannathpur Opencast Project for the Development of a Conservation and Management Plan, Bhatgaon Area, Surajpur District, Chhattisgarh (CNP-3025)". The position is tenable at CSIR-NEERI Nagpur.

What are the Essential Qualifications?

Candidates must have a B.Sc. degree in Botany/Zoology/Fishery/Forestry/Environmental Science/Agriculture.

What are the Job Responsibilities?

The job involves field studies, sample collection, analysis, and report writing.

What is the Upper Age Limit?

The upper age limit is 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

What are the Monthly Emoluments?

The monthly emoluments are Rs. 20,000/- + HRA. There is a potential increment of 15% after 3 years of experience in the same project.

How will the Selection be Done?

Selection will be based on a Walk-in-Interview at CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur. Candidates need to bring a passport-size photo, Aadhaar card, 10th (SSC), 12th (HSC), Graduate marksheets, Degree, and Graduate mark sheets (one set photocopy and original) along with a filled application form. The date of the interview will be notified separately on www.neeri.res.in website.

Is this a Permanent or Temporary Position?

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Engagement in these projects does not confer any right for regularization against any CSIR/CSIR-NEERI post.

What is the Application Fee?

Candidates are not required to pay any application fees.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose results have been declared (should have at least a provisional certificate) are eligible. Result awaited/Final semester appeared or Ph.D. submitted candidates are not eligible.

What about Experience?

Experience, where required, will be counted from the date after acquiring the minimum educational qualification. Dissertation/Thesis work done during the academic period will not be counted as experience. Time spent in acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience.

Can Final Year Students Apply?

No, final semester and result awaited candidates are not allowed to appear for the interview.

What if a Large Number of Applications are Received?

If a large number of applications are received, preference will be given to candidates based on criteria adopted by the Screening Committee.

Will TA be Paid for the Interview?

No TA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview.

What are the Other Terms and Conditions?

Other terms and conditions will be governed by the guidelines issued by the funding agency/CSIR-NEERI for the engagement of Project Staff.
