- (ii) With six years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in level-5 in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; OR
- (iii) With ten years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in level-4 in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; AND
- (b) (i) Having seven years' experience in motor transport work, in posts involving duties relating to use, care, custody, repair and maintenance of vehicles under the Central Government; AND
- (ii) Having a valid driving license for motor cars;

A Motor Mechanic Certificate from an Industrial Training Institute is desirable.
What is the maximum age limit?
The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall not be exceeding fifty-six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
What are the duties and responsibilities?
The duties include:
- Deploying drivers/vehicles for official duties of the Chairman, Members, Senior Officers, and staff of the Commission.
- Arranging and supervising vehicles for other requirements like Examinations, Advisors, Workshops, Conferences, Dak/Dispatch, General Duty, etc.
- Inspecting vehicles and giving directions for cleanliness and minor maintenance.
- Overseeing the maintenance of logbooks by drivers.
- Coordinating vehicle refilling and service/maintenance/repairs with authorized petrol pumps and workshops.
- Undertaking test drives for running repairs and taking necessary action for repair work.
- Ensuring old parts are received back from workshops and obtaining satisfactory repair certificates.
- Making drivers aware of Traffic Rules and advisories.
- Dealing with matters arising from mishaps involving Staff Car/Drivers, including site visits.
- Facilitating the Controlling Officer of Staff Car Unit in day-to-day administration, operations, and control.
- Performing other works/duties as may arise in the future.
How is the pay regulated?
The pay of the selected candidate will be regulated under the provisions contained in the DoP&T O.M. No.6/8/2009-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 17/06/2010 as amended time to time.
What is the period of deputation?
The period of deputation, including any period of deputation to another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment, shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
