What are the duties and responsibilities of the Motor Transport Supervisor?
The duties include:
- Deploying drivers/vehicles for the duties of the Hon'ble Chairman, Hon'ble Members, Senior Officers and staff of the Commission.
- Arranging and supervising vehicles for requirements such as Examinations, Advisors, Workshops/Conferences, Dak/Dispatch, General Duty etc.
- Inspecting vehicles and giving directions to drivers regarding cleanliness and minor maintenance.
- Overseeing the maintenance of logbooks by Drivers.
- Coordinating for vehicle refilling (fuel) and service/maintenance/repairs.
- Undertaking test drives and taking necessary action for repair work.
- Making drivers aware about Traffic Rules and advisories.
- Dealing with matters arising out of mishaps involving Staff Car/Drivers.
- Facilitating the Controlling Officer of Staff Car Unit in day-to-day administration, operations and control.
- Performing other works/duties as may accrue in future.
