What is this recruitment notification about?

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) has released an employment notice (No. 001/2026) for the appointment of various teaching positions including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor on a regular basis, as well as against Lien and Leave vacancies.

What are the educational qualification requirements?

The essential qualifications are strictly based on UGC Regulations, 2018. Generally, a Master's degree with 55% marks in the concerned/relevant/allied subject is required, along with NET/SET/SLET or a Ph.D. degree. Specific requirements for each department are detailed in the annexures of the notification:

• Disaster Management: Annexure-1
• Law: Annexure-2
• Computer Engineering and Robotics: Annexure-3
• Central for Kashmir Studies: Annexure-4

Candidates are advised to refer to the specific annexure for their respective department to ensure they meet the essential and desirable qualifications.

What is the application process?

Applications must be submitted through the 'Online Mode' on the CU Chayan Portal. Candidates must upload all necessary documents. Incomplete applications will be rejected.

What is the application fee?

• UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS: Rs. 1750/- (Rs. 250 processing + Rs. 1500 examination fee)
• SC/ST/PwD/Women: Rs. 1500/- (Nil processing + Rs. 1500 examination fee)
