What is the HMT Limited Operator Recruitment 2026?

HMT Limited, a Government of India Undertaking, has released a notification for the recruitment of 10 'Operator A' positions at its Food Processing Machinery Division in Aurangabad. These positions are on a Fixed Term Appointment (FTA) basis for an initial period of two years.

What are the educational qualification requirements?

Candidates must possess the following qualifications based on the specific trade:

• Operator 'A' – Machine Shop: SSLC (10th) + ITI in Machinist / Turner or DME.
• Operator 'A' – Inspection: SSLC (10th) + ITI in Fitter or DME.
• Operator 'A' – Press Shop: SSLC (10th) + ITI in Sheet Metal or DME.
• Operator 'A' – Maintenance: SSLC (10th) + ITI in Mechanic or DME.
• Operator 'A' – Assembly Shop: SSLC (10th) + ITI in Fitter or DME.

Note: Candidates must have a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) and at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.

What is the age limit?

The upper age limit for all posts is 30 years as of 31.03.2026.

What is the application fee?

The selection will be based on a written test or skill test. The test will consist of 100 marks covering General Awareness, English, Reasoning, and the concerned trade/work area.
