What is the application fee?
Candidates belonging to UR, EWS, OBC (Non-creamy layer) categories are required to pay a non-refundable application fee:
- ₹1,000/- for GP A posts (Sl. No. 1 & 2)
- ₹500/- for GP 'B' posts (Sl. No. 3 & 5)
The fee should be paid in the form of a Demand Draft from any scheduled bank in favor of "National Institute of Design Madhya Pradesh" payable at Bhopal for each post applied.
SC, ST, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fees. However, they must attach valid certificates issued by the competent authority to claim fee exemption, otherwise their application will be rejected.
No fee is required for candidates applying on Deputation.

Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for each post shall be as per NID MP Recruitment Rules. The eligibility criteria, including age, will be determined as on 30.04.2026.
Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India norms for reserved categories (SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen) for reserved posts. No relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates applying for UR vacancies.

- PwD + SC/ST: 15 years

- Written Examination: Descriptive/objective type questions, 120 minutes duration, 100 marks.
- Skill Test/Interview: Qualifying in nature, 40 marks, minimum 45% qualifying criteria.
Final selection will be based on performance in the written examination, subject to qualifying in the Skill Test/Interview. The top candidates from the written exam will be eligible for the Skill Test/Interview.
What is the minimum qualifying mark in the Written Examination?
- UR: 30%
- OBC: 25%
- Any other (PwD): 20%
These relaxed marks are applicable only for reserved category posts, not for UR category posts.
